INGREDIENTS

3 lbs. elk roast

2 tsp. Pit Boss GSP (garlic, salt, pepper) seasoning

2 tsp. Pit Boss Chophouse seasoning

1 packet of ranch seasoning

1 packet of au jus sauce

2/3 c. juice from peperoncinis

4-5 whole peperoncinis

1 stick butter

2 c. beef broth (optional)

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. If cooking on grill, place elk roast in cast iron. This can also be cooked in a crockpot.
  2. Season meat with Pit Boss GSP and Pit Boss Chophouse seasonings. Add in ranch and au jus packets.
  3. Pour peperoncini juice over roast and top with the butter and whole peperoncinis.
  4. If roast needs more liquid, add in 2 cups of beef broth.
  5. Cook on the grill at 350º for 6-8 hours. If cooking in crockpot, cook on high for 6-8 hours or until roast is fully cooked and tender. Serve and enjoy!
