INGREDIENTS

1 lb. ground elk burger

1 tsp. Pit Boss GSP (garlic, salt, pepper) seasoning

1 tsp. Pit Boss Honey Sriracha Rub

1 package taco seasoning

1/2 c.water

1 can crescent rolls

1 c. sour cream

1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

1 c. shredded cheddar cheese

3 c. crushed Doritos

1/4 c. salsa

1/4 c. melted butter

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat grill or oven to 400º F
  2. In a pan over medium heat, add elk burger, Pit Boss GSP, and Pit Boss Honey Sriracha seasonings. Cook until meat is browned.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until mixture has thickened. Set aside.
  4. Line the bottom of a cast iron pan with crescent roll dough to create a pie crust. Make sure all crescent roll seams are pressed together and sealed.
  5. Sprinkle half of the Doritos onto the crescent roll crust. Layer half of the mozzarella and cheddar over the Doritos. Top with all of the elk burger.
  6. In a bowl, combine sour cream and salsa. Spread mixture over the layer of elk burger.
  7. Top with the remaining Doritos and then the remaining cheeses. Drizzle with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
