INGREDIENTS
1 lb. ground elk burger
1 tsp. Pit Boss GSP (garlic, salt, pepper) seasoning
1 tsp. Pit Boss Honey Sriracha Rub
1 package taco seasoning
1/2 c.water
1 can crescent rolls
1 c. sour cream
1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
3 c. crushed Doritos
1/4 c. salsa
1/4 c. melted butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat grill or oven to 400º F
- In a pan over medium heat, add elk burger, Pit Boss GSP, and Pit Boss Honey Sriracha seasonings. Cook until meat is browned.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until mixture has thickened. Set aside.
- Line the bottom of a cast iron pan with crescent roll dough to create a pie crust. Make sure all crescent roll seams are pressed together and sealed.
- Sprinkle half of the Doritos onto the crescent roll crust. Layer half of the mozzarella and cheddar over the Doritos. Top with all of the elk burger.
- In a bowl, combine sour cream and salsa. Spread mixture over the layer of elk burger.
- Top with the remaining Doritos and then the remaining cheeses. Drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve and enjoy!
