Ingredients:

1lb. ground venison

1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz.)

1 pkg. frozen cheese ravioli

2 cups cheese

1 cup ricotta cheese (optional)

½ cup grated cheese

1 tsp. Italian seasoning

½ tsp. garlic powder

salt and pepper (to taste)

 

Directions:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground venison or venison sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper with the meat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.

Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of you pan to prevent sticking.

Add a layer of frozen ravioli (about half the package) on top of the sauce. Spoon half of the remaining meat sauce over the ravioli.

Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the parmesan cheese over the sauce. If using ricotta dollop small spoonful’s evenly over the layer. Repeat the layers.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min.
